During 2018, I was studying Dr. Walter Koerner’s Collection of European pottery at MOA, and began to see Koerner’s collection as a philosophical declaration about forced migrations triggered by religious persecutions. In observance of this persistent theme, I used the simplest tools, and made only what could be portaged in and out of the museum in my wheeled valise.
